In the beginning was the Word

John 1:1–3

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made.

In the beginning was the word

Genesis be damned

John be damned

Beginnings be obliterated

Origins be exhausted

The cross signifies the Master.

That 1859 book signifies a Tale.

And they made poetry to

capture the momentary instead

When everything collapsed

When the center could not hold

And now

They

Are

Trying to write this as the

Moment.

In the beginning was the Word

In the middle was war and chaos

And in the end was the triumph

Of the Cause, the oneness of the

Proletariat.

The

End

Of

History.

We are all trapped in medias res.

Might as well, live, indulge

Fight, live and leave

The rest.
